misguided

I'm here in a crater on the surface
taking cover from my dreams
they're attacking me
I was taught to value nothing more than you
taking over from my sins
above all other things

this delivery system for my soul
so complex, or void, a hole
transmit online or over wire
send the message, send it higher

I'm here, there's no need to call my shadow
we look twice and see the colour
of our lies
pieces of idea degenerated
how the thoughts that praise
are turned away

worth it's weight, I'm sold

    Do you find that writing in an anonymous environment plugs in to the "soul" in a way no other communication has? I used to call it the "direct connect" to my feelings, as there wasn't anything getting in the way of saying precisely what I felt. No body language to react to, no faces made... no consequences (generally). No real-life people making my life hard because I felt someway they didn't like.

    That's what this work reminds me of.

    Everything I write is a song. I don't write poetry. I always have a bit of a tune going in my head when I write these. And yes, they are very personal, I try to make them a little cryptic sometimes, but other times you just have to be blunt and say exactly how you feel.
