he tucks her in and kisses her on the forehead
the faint glow inside
that he could never hide
he can see that it warms her though he never knew
that anything was wrong
now he's waited too long
they will find that together falls apart
even with the love they share

it's inside her head
her faith held true by the hands of another
no need for a father
no love for her mother
she denies the love she ever gave
is this what it means to be afraid?

he's dangerous, he's tried so hard to hide
how he really feels
but it's all so real
the fear that he feels is realised when she says
that this is what she wants
and she's waited so long
a love shared wrong is a love so strong
and this is the love they share

its outside her hands
her faith in two at the hands of another
no need for a father
no love for her mother
she accepts her love only in this way
is this what it means to be afraid?
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."
