Space Weary

Distance gives me discomfort,
when I cannot feel you,
it runs this world ragged
with the weariness under my eyes.

Facing that old stone man,
but thinking of you,
I lose my wit, my heart
A part of me is missing.

After this space confronts me,
when I return, do not shun me -
let me into your heart
like that unlocked door I remember.

    hold my hand
    lie beside me
