Treasure

I wandered through a dark forest,
This wood was well worn.
I could not see and yet I felt
The sore creaking of its age.
While carrying a treasure for my lover
Making my way out of there,
I stumbled and lost the Precious
And I could not find it again.
The dark wood whispered to visitors
Guiding them to find what I had left.
I wandered out of the dark forest
And found my lover in a clearing.
And yet I could not tell her what I lost.

I did not have to tell her.
The cracking branches of that wood
Guided a swine to my treasure.
And with sincere pleasure,
He squealed to my lover.
He soiled my Precious,
Not knowing its worth,
Treating it like his den of mud.
And as my lover looked on
I could do nothing but bristle.
I had lost her treasure.

From afar the old, dark wood reviled me
Removed of it, I just ignored it.
The treasure I lost was Earthly
But my lover was a creature of heaven.
Turning my head from the wood
With her immaculate hand
She gave me her heavenly Precious
And purged my heart of its sadness.
And I discovered the Precious I sought
Was waiting for me in the clearing.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

  • very nice
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
