and you know what? its actually pretty damn good! Almost forgot about it. except for the filler crap, its solid from start to finish.

Ed was on top of his lyric writing game back then. poetry. angry, pissed off poetry.

This has been in my cd player all week. I can't get enough of it. Satan's Bed is about to come on right now!

I don't there's any filler on Vitalogy at all. It's all good.

The only filler for me on that album is that stupid last track.
  • yeah it all flows together pretty well. forget what i said.

and i always just considered Foxymop a hidden track thats not hidden. Immortality is the real closer.

once upon a time, Not For You was my favorite PJ song. i think it might deserve to be back in my top 5.

it's the only PJ cd in the local bar juke box that I go to, and to say the least, I've played the popsicle sticks out of it!!

its always beautiful when I play this or any other studio album after many months. I tend to listen to a lot of live boots more often so its always nice to hear the original recording.
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...

I did this a while ago with Vs. I hadn't listened to it for a while and then flicked it on a couple of weeks ago and remembered how much I love it. I then did exactly the same this week with Vitalogy. It is a damn good album with some amazing tracks that i'd completely forgot about (except Better Man of course ;)) Listening to Corduroy gave me goosebumps due to memories of the first time I saw them at Reading 06, STBC made me remember the first time I heard PJ and Immortality got me choked at the memories of Wembley!
I hadn't listened to Vitalogy for a long time because of a stigma attached to Nothingman but i'm so glad I did, i've fallen in love with it all over again :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

My fave album since i bought it! An absolute masterpiece! No filler all killer. Last Exit... right through to Immortality. Wow! So glad they bought Satans Bed back last tour. This one even had the critics saying this was their best work at the height of their powers.

Pry to.. leads perfectly into Corduroy
Bugs - the lyrics are quite poignant
Aye Davanita - anyone got some background on this one?

    Very underrated, forever appreciated!

My fave ahead of Avacado, No Code and Yield.

    This is...This is...This is...This is...This is...This is...MY Last Exit! Wow

random - i listen to the boots more than albums, and few days ago i made the effort to throw on Vitalogy as i was heading to bed, ...got through it all, and woke up later with this horrific nightmare specifically with lines from Foxy Mop! was SO weird!

i love that about the albums, i dont listen to them that often, always nice to whip them out
