I find a peace in pain
I find hard to explain
I find peace when all I am
is in pieces, broken and torn,...

don't want this peace to be broken,... I don't want this emptyness to be broken
there is enough shattered around me,... without any more disturbance
without you coming around trying hard to make me whole.

i like to think of my life like a page of paper
and with everything i do a new mark is made
some love the eraser a friend so valuble
but me i would rather screw it up and start a new

old marks I will lose, and oh yes that means you
would rather have nothing than an incomplete picture,...

I want to start all over again at the point before you
used to be coded,
cause i got branded,
don't give two shits about labels,....

let me lay myself bare to you

oh by the way i'm off to fuckin paRIS!

All of us have to take our steps in our own stride, even if we might stumble. If we fall down, we know that we did, and we get back up and dust ourselves off. And then we look back on that weird lump in the sidewalk that made us trip and we learn it and remember it the next time we walk down that path.

    But we don't stop walking.

The idea of a blank page without an eraser is the most insightful thing I've read in ages. Very well said.

I would like to memorize this poem of yours, so that next time I do something heartfelt and somewhat scary and out on a limb, I go ahead and do it...just to make my mark on a page.

    I really like this poem.
