untitled as of now..


I took a step outside to throw out last nights now empty bottles,
when the sun hit my shoulders and upper back for the first time this morning.
A swift punch of uncertainty

I didn't know what to think of it
recovering from drunken laughter followed by depression.
That warmth spreading my back was a reminder of my life outside of this place. A not so happy, but sober life.

So another wasted morning passes on like the cars outside my window.
Sort of noticing I'm here, except in the way you notice something but don't put any further thought into it.

Only one more hour to kill, hoping it's a little colder when we leave this time.
