Pearl Jam inspires my writing

I would say that Pearl Jam is the only relevant band working today. There are a lot of bands with little or nothing to say. Their music is glossed over and devoid of substance. They write gibberish songs about their girlfriend stealing their lunchbox. At least or at most, Eddie and the boys have something to say. It doesn't really matter if you agree or you don't. The beautiful thing is that have convictions and stand by them. If it weren't for Pearl Jam I never would have made any music of my own. An I can't imagine my life without music in it. I'll be honest with ya. If I weren't a songwriter I wouldn't exist. An I can relate to writing conterversial lyrics. What most people don't realize is, when your writing a new track, your not trying to offend and I don't think Eddie is trying to offend. Your simply trying to be honest. I catch a lot of heat from people because they think I'm attacking their religion. In actuallity, it's just about offering a different viewpoint. The only thing that worries me is that there aren't more Pearl Jam type artists. You should check out me band "Mischievious Tremor" at http://www.soundclick.com

Yeah, PJ is good. They are like the brownie hot fudge nut sundaes of bands. I guess that means they are very very good :D

Bruce rules, though. He's like a plate of spaghetti. Actually, I think I wrote somewhere that PJ was a plate of spaghetti. HMMMMMMMMMMMM, one of them is a brownie hot fudge nut sundae with chocolate chip ice cream, and the other is a plate of spaghetti.

Good luck on your music :)

  • I think PJ's like a giant steak smothered in gummy bears. Their the substance and the desert. Even if a person just viewed them sonically and didn't pay attention to the lyrics. It would still completely inspire them. The melodies are completely original and the guitars are tight. Not to mention the power of the bass lines and well placed drums. There aren't a lot of bands I completely care about, but PJ certainly is. They also have an incredible body of work. Every album is great, every song goes in its own direction. They don't repeat themselves and they never cashed in. Brownies eh? I can groove with that. Whatever flips your hair back. What about pretzels and nacho cheese? Now your talkin' Jam.
