What Is This Cord??

What is this cord that tugs and pulls
On one end only
Deeper it aches
But not so as I pulled away
So fast, faster I ran
Oh anywhere, but here
Why does the cord not run so deep
As it does on my still end
Where I stand now, watching time
Float by, run by, speed by
Time that was never fast enough
Time that was never good enough
Time that was never kept so much
Counted, cared, created much
Endless days, they passed so slowly,
Full of laughter, hope and tears
With one foot standing in the clouds
As the other tripped right here............
I now stand in the sun
My eyes squint and tear and cry
For time I cannot catch;
Time that flies on by
Still I hold it in my heart
Know that it all is as it should be
Go toward the next phase just to see
Just now what will next occur
As you stand one foot in the clouds
The other tripping there
I now stand facing the sun
Why does this cord hurt more right here
Than on the other end when I
Was the one pulling away
I was the one who needed to run
And I did so, I ran away.........
I guess it's true that I must know loneliness
Before I understand
Just what I dealt to those who felt
The cord slip right through their hand...........
Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......

Together we will float like angels.........

In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........
