Youth struts by...blatently proud
Inwardly a mess
Defiantly fucked up---
Internally, yet smiles
And says,"Hi" to spread good cheer.
Youth goes on in circles
And in pain and confusion
Yet still can laugh
And find a place
To fall apart as one.
At one point I could endure
So deep and yet believe
It all would mend
And go away into a place
Too deep and dark to ever return to.
The faces I had looked upon
And those who judged me wrong
(although they ran with me)
Never really knew
Just who I was.
Was able to at least externally
Shrug off the bad aura
That they cast upon me
In their superior
Unknowing way.
No longer can I just ignore
Although I should be quite thick
And quite use to adverse
Reactions in my honour
I don't request.
I am no longer youth
Nor do I think I stand forever
And I shrink down, not stand
To all of my defiant
Frightening nightmares.
In dreams I fly so far so free
So unhibited in spirit
So comfortable with who I am
Not who I'll never be
Too many chains now hold me down.
And all the while youth struts by
Its walked right by me--who was she?
Is she who I once was--has she
Become who I was suppose to
Or did I take a wrong turn?
My heart, my eyes show time gone by
My amnesia serves me well
Forget all that I felt and see
That we all arrive to that place
Where no ones looking anymore...

In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."
