In dying stars, we see life...
so far beyond,
but brilliant still.

We sing songs of hope,
and trace our heroes in sky.

So much time is spent
with our heads in the clouds,
our feet go unnoticed.

A tiny leap would cure us,
and bring these worlds together.

  • High ideals sometimes obscure the most obvious solutions!

Thank you for this poem. I want to address world poverty, only I fail to see the beggar at my door.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.
