Mosquito bitten with a surprise
Get on the highway and drive
Don’t know where I’m going but speed is just a number
Blood dripping from my hand as I grab the wheel
Eyes fixed on the road ahead blurring the lines
Foot to the floor pushing for more
Driving with my emotions and anger's on its way
Off the next exit is a hitchhiker that's me
Driving thru the ghetto with the windows rolled down
Refineries glow, emitting their fumes
I haven't been here in years
And wouldn't come in the day light
Yet I find myself here in the blackness of night
Aimless wanderers fill the streets
Looking at me as they stumble around
Back to the place where I first saw his face
Dealers around fixed with their name badges and friendly smiles
Realizing I was used for the energy of another
For the one who's placed footsteps on my chest
The house that capture the faith and pushed for pressure
Release in time, are laughing words as the highway smiles to me
How far can I go tonight with out returning?
Wanting a new destination and freedom from my thoughts
Throw them out the window and speed away
Four way intersection and glaring lights
I want to close my eyes and let off the brake
See where FATE leads me now
Up the hill and into the alley speeding with fear
Flying thru the lights as the colors change
Passing other accidents I wish I were in
If I felt their pain would they feel my SIN?
Trucks speeding past me and wishing I knew
Where they were going so I could go to
I pass the apartments where we made our home
And by the store that lead to the abuse with in
Right here is where I sat as you told me face to face...
Now if I can't confront you I'll confront myself.
And the mosquitoes blood drips onto the wheel
As it falls from my skin I begin to heal
Out front of what will soon be my home
I left directly from where u said those words
Cleansing my soul along the way
The thick fog air rushed over my hand as I drove.
"I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"
