the ones I haven't seen since I was 5. The ones who, through their amazing mother, found me two weeks ago and have been emailing and talking to me on the phone ever since. The ones who've been saying "Sweet dreams" to each other every night, just like me and my other sisters always do:

Sweet Dreams, Made Finally Real

Hands stretching across the states
reaching out to hold another hand
with a similar shape
and feel:

Finally real

Heart pounding
fearful of saying the wrong thing
tongue tripping over itself to get out every word
ears loving the music of this new voice on the phone:

No longer alone

Memories crashing together to make a new song
a symphony of laughter and tears and regret
Old friends we’ve just met
recognizing similar traits and feelings
(accepting the differences too)

Loving all of you

Wishing all of you
sweet dreams
and happiness
in a multitude of words:

Finally heard
Feels Good Inc.

I can't tell you how much I cried when I saw my youngest sister's picture of her son -- my nephew -- at the age of 4, and he looked exactly like me at the age of 4 (except I'm a chick, but I had a really bad haircut at that age, heh heh). This is an awesome trip, and I'm on a high as big as the sky. Thank you for sharing and understanding!

  • wow, thanks for posting
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
