Glass, against my hand
feels rather cool
as I watch the neighbors take out the garbage
and I stand here in my bedroom
with the glass against my head
Glass, in front of my face
looks kinda dirty
as I drive to work every day with sun in my eyes
and I leave my car in the parking lot
and the people start messing with my head
Glass, in front of my nose
tells me some poems
as I watch us all get along and share our hearts with each other
and I finally turn my monitor off
But that last glimpse through glass
it makes my heart beat at last
and brings my soul home....
...just in time
for me to turn the lights off
and dream of peace and love
as I make my way home
to my bed
