Stayed home again
with the cats
Felt sick again
watched Eddie and Pats
Felt guilty for a while
but AbFab made me smile

And the office will move along without me, won't it?
I made calls, made sure some bills would get paid
But it's the third day this year, in a year I promised
I'd be there

These sanctuary days can't last in a year that I promised
I'd be there

And it's only February
Stayed home again
and it's only February

Ah, but watching the sunlight move across my floor
in ways that I've never seen before
that must count for something, no?

It brought me so much peace
as I watched my cigarette smoke fuse with the rays of sunlight
drawn in through the blinds
And the noises of the house, settling
made me feel as if I'd lived here since the second world war

Peace of Mind Day, that's what it was
and so Monday won't be so bad

Unless, of course, I get fired
Feels Good Inc.
