Mondays and Thursdays are garbage days
we plan around it
we live by it
Wednesdays are household trash days
when the cardboard boxes
and old furniture are put out

Thursday is also recycle day
so we put all our beer cans out,
that day

And the nice bearded man in his station wagon
clears us out, that day
when the old lady across the street
doesn't beat him to it

The whole neighborhood knows the routine
the whole neighborhood tries to keep it clean
the whole neighborhood, yeah, we stay green

While we drink beer after beer we remember
"Wash, rinse, recycle"
We live the cycle

While we hear babies cry we remember
we were young once
while we hear couples argue we remember
we were passionate once

But at least we took our garbage out
and threw it away
or recycled it....
Eh?

wow, you get garbage pick up 2x a week!! and a furniture pick up! we have garbage day once every 2 weeks, and you have to pay to get your furniture taken away, or drop it off at a salvation army..... (they're getting pissed with that though)

maybe that's why we have free health care ;)
