She gazed with watering eyes into his emptiness,
Her heart broken from his fear of unknown,
She told him years ago after the war of her love,
On a boat, together alone, for a moment,
Was not to be at the time because of others,
Now fate brings them together once again,
His heart broken, world crushed, from trust,
Can't take another chance, he won't do it,
She must go on, find someone who can love,
She tells him he is destroying himself, he's dead inside,
He would rather die than trust again,
She whispers she loves him and walks off,
He takes a drink, lights a joint, and watches her leave.
