On A Rock

I stood on rock in an open field,
The warm breeze blowing,
The sunset warmly glowing,

To the east over the horizon,
A war being fought loved ones die,

To the north over the horizon,
An accident claims the life of a family,

To the west over the horizon,
A lonely person takes their own life,

To the south over the horizon,
A family begins to tear apart over a divorce,

I stood on rock in an open field,
The warm breeze blowing,
Lower my head just from knowing
