My father died a year ago, a sad day for me,
I can remember kissing his forehead as he laid cold,
He wasn't perfect by no means, perfection is nothing to me,
I miss him I wish we could share one more laugh together,
Maybe one more fishing trip one more dream of hitting the lottery,
He was very proud of my son and so am I,
One thing I learn from all of this is I will never let my son forget I love him,
Maybe I fail in many ways as a son to him,
I really have to believe the old guy love me though,
I'll spend the day alone maybe go to the lake or pond remember some of the laughs we shared and maybe laugh one more time with him in my heart.
Come on and play on the edge of life with me. Its fun and I love every minute of it!!!
