Heard a rumor from another board they are playing ACL. Makes sense. Another southern festival for the southerners. Dont shoot the messenger. Just thought I would share since it seems like it makes sense, and havent seen it mentioned here.

Same person also said Tool, Kayne and Radiohead will be headlining Lollapalooza.

    Phantasytour.com (phish board)

Guy said he watched Superbowl with a guy who works for C3(?). It really does make sense to play ACL. Looks like they are using festivals to appease the south, which kinda sucks but its better than nothing.

  • PJ playing ACL would be amazing! And unlike Bob Dylan, I would actually understand the lyrics...

This has been rumored on the Message Pit, as well.

Don't know whether it's daydreaming, an actual rumor, or something that has legs.

if it's true, I guess I'll be going out to this one as well. Anyone know when they're announcing the line-up?

this makes sense because of that Minneapolis newspaper said PJ is looking into booking a show at the Target Center in September and also a show in Denver in September. So it looks like a possible tour in September. Bonnaroo is likely a one off, just like Lolla last year.

Last year they released it around May 9th/10th. This year the dates for the festival were pushed back a couple weeks, so it could be slightly different.

sorry, PJ playing ACL fest in Austin doesn't do much for me. i'll wait for another 5 years, and maybe they'll decide to include southern states on a real tour. maybe by then we'll be worthy enough, and the band will 'draw better crowds'.
