The day feels good, sun on my body feeling warmth,
The shame I feel for lieing just to hurt stills brings a chill,
Why did we end this way, love lost, but at a cost,
Soul mates we once thought, now enemies, given to hurt,
Do we think of the life we gave, I think I've only hurt him,
My feelings are not really hate, just jealousy and self pity,
I tried to be a rock, hard and cold, but I'm not,
Maybe thats what makes her hate me so,
I wish we could have at least been able to talk,
I always could talk to her, she has found someone else,
I guess I'm really happy for her, I do wish her the best,
Her birthday comes soon I hope he does something special,
I'll be thinking of the past of the things I use to do,
If he is better he will make her happy and thats all that counts.
