There are times when I feel plagued by commonality and the virus of equality in the sense that it is so commonly used; sameness. It stems not from racism, but from reality. I am not the same as you, nor are you to me. Nor would I ever want it to be that way. A common misconception is if we are not equal, than elevation is the cause. We are simply different. You rise where I fall, and I the same to you. With this balance, we move on as one. If we try to deny reality, and force equality in a socialized effort, than we are doomed to fail. It results in a lowering of expectations, and a loss of focus on the infinitive, to be.
Where is the imagination?
Where is the dream?
If we are all the same light
How can I gleam?
And with this as the case, how am I to respond to a recognized truth..? With expectations for my own, as well as others, how do I draw the balance? Is it my responsibility to increase the weight, or simply my destination? Can I even believe what I think? I say there has to be a balance, but that’s with in my own, and its what I try to maintain…It doesn’t have to be that way.! And if we are one, who says its a well balanced circle..?

I scream in affirmation
of connecting dislocations
and exceeding limitations
by achieving levitation
