as she sits there - with tears in her eyes

to waking up and seeing her beside me
all that i have left is - a flicker on the screen
a picture of a memory that's burried deep inside me

as her universe collides
i press against the glass - her thoughts are getting nearer
i come to realise

that the light that i'm absorbing
through a crevice on my face
all the colours that are blending
all the forms they are creating

are all but a reflection
an insecure projection
of what she holds inside
