--- Is it too late to love? ---

Rage is living in a shell
Random access superstition
Made of man a rotten race
Made the world a lonely place

Freaky pictures of a past
Times flown by so long ago
Gracefully fallen in disgrace
From past to present buried and lost

Thoughts like a horde of wildebeest
Stampeding through the valleys of concrete
Trampling nothing but themselves
For all the world has turned to grey

Stranded in the lands of poison
No longer are you here for me
Oh my god, where are you now
Now that I believe in you

Maybe you were never there for me at all
Oh thou, great and mighty one
Strike lightning upon me one last time
For you cannot hurt me any more
For a soul has shown me joy.

only one more thing to add but I could not find a suitable way, so ...
That soul cannot (even with joy) change the face of this rotten (but oh so beautiful) earth
Surf little waves big... Charge big waves hard

Jeez that is fucking great man or lady. I have a poem that is more or less on the same subject. Not as good as this one though. Really good stuff.

I would like to say that it´s never too late to love.
« One man's glory is another man's hell.
You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»

    Thanks a lot KarmaDefect

I too think it's never too late to love, but it's hard to start :)

btw, I am a member of the tribe called Man
    where gender is expandable
    and all is treated equally
in a future that is yet to be seen

j/k : i'm proud to be a man :p (nothing against women though, oooh, those wonderful creatures that hold us in their grip :) )

That they do. And no problem.

I agree with karma-never, ever too late to love. Sheesh, we NEED more love in this world if we ever plan on changing things. :) Thanks fir sharing that Jamal. I always like poems that start grim but end up hopeful. :)

Your last line "That soul cannot (even with joy) change the face of this rotten (but oh so beautiful) earth" really touched me. It speaks so truly of the opposing forces of life on earth. Great poem overall extremely vivid and concrete imagery. Thanks!
