Free world // misery in contempt

Maybe you guys could tell me if this would be fit for a song or better be left as poetry ...
Anyways, it's been a while since my last visit, so I send my regards to all whom it may concern
The ocean is the place for me
my world in search of order now
to be free
catching waves for all to see
Empty pages, void like me
for time to fill with all its tales
all in time, yet way too late
the heart is filled with lies and hope
On my beach I want to stand
rain be creeping on my skin
while music fills my clouded mind
no running, diving, none of that
Just to stand there, bones are wet
should pack me in a cardboard box
this side up, fragile content
that is my heart, already shattered
A past will tell us to forget
Certain future will teach us how to see
And yet these lines were never written
for a dead man tells no tales
Of misery
A misery of you and me
Let’s all live and let’s be free
Let go of all misery
The misery that is just me
Or is it just my misery?

but not much of prepostioner or speller
and a girl winker
who likes to tinker
with words, with minds
with behinds
when I find the time
to rhyme

My father who best loved and lived on the sea.
My father who kept other sisters from me.
My father who awed me, and still does today.
My father who left, with so much still to say.
My father whom I love, to my dying day.
My father who smiles at me, and goes his own way.
Jamal -- you got it just right. Thank you for sharing your poem.
