-- Going Nowhere --

Called in for an early morning
sleepy eyes aimed towards the sky
smiled at the stars, waved at the sun
music to my ears, the morning glare

Though I had a plan
for going home
and all I ended up with are
two tickets on the train to nowhere

I could see the tracks
leading us to nowhere
riding the horizon train
Still, I ride that train alone
with my tickets to nowhere

You butterflied, I fade away
I ride alone
with my two tickets
and just like us, I’m going nowhere

The tracks won’t end
Life though shall … soon
All’s past the horizon’s grey
Last stop: “Nowhere”, getting off

Said I may just as well be going nowhere
nowhere, nowhere
Everywhere is nowhere to be found
