Why can't we be the one to make the difference?
Why don't our words make the difference?
Why doesn't our direction manifest influence?
Why is it that every word that spills into the next sentence is a tired old wishlist of winded platitudes and wronged nothings?
Why is it that we look to history to provide for the future?
Why is it we never look for the brightness we could nurture?

Don't we invest faith in diversity and a productive tomorrow?
Don't we challenge views in the hope of understanding?
Don't we bore of the same old same old?
Don't we cast doubt upon being and nothingness?
Don't we wish and seek and hope to find,
The beauty in the dessicated human mind?

Perhaps, perhaps not - the difference between the haves and have-nots.

I like this, all except the last sentence because it doesn't seem related unless you mean people who have thoughts and people who don't have them...but more often that phrase is related to material possessions which is why I felt it undermined what came before.

That's why I used that particular phrase because it encompasses both of the definitions you've given...its open to interpretation.....H
