A two-way avenue - centre line reserved for the less confused,
The haunting stares from the sidelines welcome in shades of forgivable sins,
The kind that are comfortable - outside looking in.

Held in hand - a flight-path for better days,
Washed away by the need for answers,
Direction taken - a token renewal
Of an ideal held fast by the few.

There's nothing that can't be believed,
In an age so quick to decieve,
Rewritten worlds collide,
Yesterdays words - tomorrow's lies.

Criticise and wait in line for the reward,
With the legacy of failures still knocking on wood,
Counting on the kingdom of fear,
To provide broken lines - for television's tears.

Rank and file, no place for desire,
Expect to see the same weary faces,
Same tired voices,
No longer making choices.
