Adrift, directionless
At the mercy of the tides
No time waiting
And no waiting smile
No guide in this black sky
My only friend the moon
Cold and silent
Lighting my reflection
Mocking and cruel
The currents stole me away
Threw me back again
Back upon myself
Where the swell buried my days
She rose in her shining
And steadied my sails
I followed her music
Her star, though pale
Beyond this desert black
Of weariness, falter and fail
My course sat straight
As all things merged in their making
All stars became suns
All waves oceans
And my eyes the world
Cradled in their enfolding
I glided amidst the ebb and flow
Clear as day above the undertow
Towards her waiting
Towards her song
I came
My wave kissed her sky
Then came crashing down again
At the mercy of the tides
No time waiting
And no waiting smile
No guide in this black sky
My only friend the moon
Cold and silent
Lighting my reflection
Mocking and cruel
The currents stole me away
Threw me back again
Back upon myself
Where the swell buried my days
She rose in her shining
And steadied my sails
I followed her music

Beyond this desert black

And my eyes the world
Cradled in their enfolding
I glided amidst the ebb and flow
Clear as day above the undertow
Towards her waiting
Towards her song
I came
My wave kissed her sky
Then came crashing down again

I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."

What he said.
I only put that comment in here ONE time.
Oh well, take them all, they are yours.
My computer was acting odd this A.M.
Maybe this has something to do with the
posting of THREE of the same compliments.
I dunno.
But a great poem, thank you for sharing it.
