Mookie (to all those lost)

sign of hope
sign of failure
sign of
in need of
saving

didn't you save him years ago
didn't you promise me a map
for him to find his way

a new slate
eating off his plate
sleeping on top of anything

a sign of hope
a sign of a thing to come
I can only weep
as he continues to sleep

slammed a life out
crammed a canteen
framed a picture

I watch me
watch me as I lose
control

ever wait
every trait
holding back

want to attack
so she must
procrastinate

dog pinned
rear ended
sleep deprived

sign of hope sign of failure
in need of
saving

this I hold
so closely

ever present
separate

I stole the title from Mookie Blaylock, the basketball player/old Pearl Jam name. I really like the name.

Here are some song lyrics I came up with. I guess they would work as songs.

    drool
    I hide it
    very clear

    it is burned away
    torn

    slap in my face
    cold water
    eyes seeing grey

    welcome back
    to all that is
    conforting

    delbirately fall
    to feel something
    the pain that is burning

    ever burning
    I hide it away
    very carefully

    punch me now
    cold water
    eyes color blind

    paralell
    dizy with fright
    we just stop

    it is burned away
    torn to pieces

    slap in my face
    cold water closer to me
    eyes seeing grey

    ever question
    never stop asking
    it can happen

    very carefully
    I see the light again

    it utters something
    closer to
    closer to me

    always stop to question
    always continues
    inside of me

    burning black with dizzy
    burning pure fear

    learning that it only
    gets inside of me

    for me to see
    for me to whisper

    for me to see past

    for you to believe

    everybody
    everybody knows my name
    everybody knows my name

    and I think they are
    creepy

    get out
    jump out
    over do it

    everybody knows my name
    and I think it's creepy

    favorite can
and I think they are crazy

    everybody knows my name
    shit stain
    on the wall

    get out
    jump off
    overdose
    intoxicate yourself

    everybody knows my name
and I think they are creepy

    dress 'em up
    call it Susan
    everybody knows my name
    it's so creepy

    step off
    peace off
    drop out

    everybody knows his name
    everybody knows my name
    everybody stairs
    leach off

    everyone
    get out
    jump off
    overdose
    intoxicate yourself

    Just to impress your elders
just to show them you can
    be anything you ever wanted

    slow down the growing
    pump it full of
    dossage oh so much
    motion speeding
    up

    you are the stage
    oh so full of rage
    why may you
do this to prove your point

    for many
    you were correct
    fullfilling their desire
    blood and admire

    work of the passionate one
    ridgid and gaining speed
    beating them to it

    threw the wild card
    you just
    got out
    jumped off
    overdosed

for me you look so nice
like the sheep told me to drool
    got off for anyone

    get out
    jump off
    overdose
    intoxicate ones self

    just ahead of me
    it's a habit
    snickering

    he changed my mind
    thought it was so impersonal
    back to earth
    setting myself up for
    something better

    habit
    gonna get into the medium
    keepin' pace
    gotta win this race
    against the man

    habit
    gotta make it mine
    rule this
    inhumane act

    layin' brick or suckin' dick
    gonna get there
    I will see reality
    soon enough

    destiny isn't real
    for me to trust
    someone like you

    it's a habit

    changed thoughts
    back to earth
    going to get better
    in time

    keeping pace
    Kinda scared where I’m going

Even more scared where I’ve come from

Endless possibilities foil my every thought

Right and wrong just a decision

Mom and dad, not always right

    Challenging those seated above

Their speech of protection is a false certainty of safekeeping with every shift

Right and wrong it’s a decision

    It’s your decision

I will guide you through this moment of indescribable imagination

Wave of ideas flooding in and taking over our intuition...

Kinda scary where I’ve been; even more scary where I’ve come from

Differences give us the gift of ourselves

Right and wrong just decisions, mom and dad can’t answer your entire question

Questions you must answer on your own

Questioning the eagle; she darts to and fro
