'the pit'

ugh

the list goes on...

living in this technological bubble
another day of isolation

a realization of self-awareness
of solitude
so alone
together, so alone
OMG it's so common

a realization of self-awareness
creeps up from the heart
creeps up through the soul
it chokes up and seizes the air

this bubble cannot bring back
the smell of your hair
my reflection in your eyes
the soft moisture of your lips
the scent of your skin
the curves of your body
the doorway to your soul

i once had the key

simultaneous craving
nothing is more stimulating
that the touch of another

i knew that person once
she's probably gone forever
is there another one like her
alone, in another bubble
that's waiting to be popped
I love to turn you on

  • Great poem Steve, good visuals of lonliness.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
