As the sun warms my skin
New life surrounds me
I hadn't felt it's energy in months

The senses, the sounds, the pulse
Come bursting through the air
Yes we are alive again

Oh how I love the winter
It's cold breezes and walls of snow
Test the survival instinct in me

Yet that first warm day
Oh that first glorious warm day
Everyone knows, they have survived

The smiles on the faces
The 'spring' in their steps
Let me know I'm not alone
