She lies on the floor,
Stares at the ceiling - (one too many)
But all her hurt has faided,
All her pain, washed away....
Her head spins,
the world all looks so pretty,
a whole new world - (perfect)
The piece and serenity she has always dreamed of,
Too many drinks to far away,
Why does it take all this for her to feel at ease?
Tears fall down her cheeks,
so sick of living in this fucked up world,
Sick of living in this twisted reality,
where life is so far from normal.
Her eyes become heavy, - (the moment is over)
happiness has gone,
the nightmare is back, The pain soon comes flowing back.
Why does she need to drink to soothe her pain,
why won't it all just go away?
She cries each day,
as each is worse, She cries alone,
Bottle at hand....
