A Pertinacious Way

Please, excuse me,
your the most beautiful girl, that I have ever seen.
your pefect red hair, has me weakening at the knees.
your oppulescent eyes, make me want to turn and flee,
I can't take it anymore, so this is my decree,
I need to tell you, no matter what you see in me.

Please, listen to what I have to say,
I usually just turn around and walk away,
my minds made up, I won't run again today.
I need to tell you, you make me act so strange,
I'm fumbling my words and I can barely stand up straight.
I spent a lot of time laying in my bed up late,
contemplating life and the circumstances of my fate.
I think about you in a pertinacious way,
thoughts about you, well they never seem to stray,
it may be kinda lame, but that's what I had to say
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire
