it's been so long since i picked up a pen
it felt good to let it go

it's been so long, i can't remember when
i feel like i should to let her know

i want to be enlightened

like i want to be told the end

    standing in the rain
    remaining dry

    images reflected out of the cloudy bright sky

    a wall of rain drops
    i stand behind
    if the rain stops
    the sun still won't shine

    a puddle smiles
    the thunder laughes
    i want to be enlightened

    i have been reading over a few notebooks i have. most of the writings were written when i was 16 - 19 and they just seem so ridiculous now. just the trivial bullshit you deal with growing up and how you deal with it. but i remember exactly how i felt every time i wrote something down. i'm about to shred it all.
