set her world high
on a single grain of sand
all alone on his beach, in the hourglass
the tide comes rolling in

she fights the undertoe
and holds on to the land
is he pushing, are they pulling
is it gravity now again

uh oh, the world keeps spinning, grinning
she keeps learning how
oh no, another beginning, a new way of sining
her tears start laughing now.

he walks the beach to find a simple grain of sand.
the monsters and the castles pass
from the ocean to the grass
gently dancing with the wind.
catches a glimpse of lost time
as it changes with the day
traded his motor for a paddle
and she quietly rows away, hey now.

uh oh, the world keeps turning
he's out there burning in the sun
oh no another begining
without and ending,
what has he done?

set his world high on a single grain of sand.

    heya...

are these lyrics or is it a poem?

i like it, and if it's poetry, i'd be happy to critique... but if it's lyrics, well then... let them stand as they are

    :D

(i think i'll be able to get to those songs today, m'dear... hey, do you play out?)
  • Iv'e been looking forward to some pasta tunes. I started a myspace account today and forgot to bring my friggin cd to school to upload the songs. as far as the lyrics I wrote them for the yellow ledbetter thread and then for some reason posted it seperately. I would love to hear you critique it as a poem. I guess it's kind of both.

I tried getting some up on myspace, but the dial-up... oh... the f-rottin' dial-up.... I'll get some. promise.

I wont touch lyrics. They're too tied the music...
I will say that I do like these, though.
