The Man by the Corner

The Man by the Corner

The hitchhiker
From the other night
Wanted a ride
To the nearest bar
Then he saw a car
Coming in his direction
As he waits patiently

Near the rural back roads
As I turned the corner
I saw him with his thumb in the air
From darkness I got a short glimpse
Thinking how he got there

I believe he needed to travel
To town
Only a few miles away
He must of needed a ride
To get to the nearest bar
Which isn’t so far
While I was riding
In my car

Some things I do remember
That doesn’t bring much significance
Into my world
While thinking for a split second
Can turn into a memory

End

I like your poem "imagen" seems layered and complex but simple too.
