When does NO become YES? Is it in the moment he tunes out to her screams? Does it happen in the moment her terror prevents her from screaming? She can't fight anymore...Does it mean she never fought at all? Did she not do enough? Does no become yes when he's aroused by her...what she's wearing...the body language and signs he believes she's declaring? When does she become a willing participant?? What constitutes consent? When does it become her fault that he perceived yes to be what she meant? Should it matter she's not bruised or beaten? Twice a victim..two times traumatized when the law sings of the burden of proof--Why didn't you scream louder? Why isn't there signs of a struggle? We see no marks on him... Perhaps it happened honey, but it's a case you ain't gonna win! So it goes--She goes away thinking, MAYBE it was my fault..led to believe she's done wrong...confused and fucked up feeling MAYBE she asked for it all along. All along he tells himself her tears were passion...her muffled cries were pleasure...These ARE the standards by which his power is measured.
When does NO become YES?
He NEVER heard NO at all...
I never stood a chance.
I can hear what you're thinking,.. All your doubts & fears,... If U look in my eye,... In time you'll find,... the reason I'm here,.. In time U may come back somday,.. To live once more-- or die once more-- In time your time,... will be no more,...
