when i fall in love
i know some crappy pop song
that i heard flipping stations on the radio
will be stuck in my head

a song by some 24 year old blonde girl
that never wrote a song
and really cant sing
but looks the part

it will be upbeat
with squeaky polished keys
and the lyrics will contain
the word "baby" several times

it really wont mean anything
but it will stick in my head like cheap gum
thats what will be in my head
when i fall in love
I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

    Cool poem. I like the idea of love making you feel as happy as a pop song. Yet, the tone is darkly negative. I might be wrong, as I'm writing this with just one read of the poem, but the idea of Love only lasting as long as a pop song seems to be there. Interesting poem...

    When I fell in love, mine was "The Power of Love" by Celine Dion. It actually has very nice lyrics.

    instantly after I read your title, in my head, Marilyn Monroe began singing a sweet song, When I Fall In Love.

    falling in love makes us do silly things, for example like stupid songs. :) there's nothing we can do about it really..
