Drifting away, to nights and better days
I glance around, trying to find my way
How I wish you were here
To help me wipe the tears
Forever my dear

Needing to run, feet dissolving behind
Remember that night, it was one of a kind
Dancing thoughts, revive once again
I’ve always been, that ugly stain
I’m your pain

Searching for escape, like the times of old
Never let someone in, left out in the cold
The stars in my sky, dimming behind the clouds
Sitting here alone, with nothing but doubts
Worthless amount

Don’t want to hurt, myself this night
I can’t help but leave, terrible fright
I apologize my love, as the rain roll down
I’m so long gone, and without my crown
Fuck this town

Drifting away, to nights and better days
I glance around, trying to find my way
How I wish you were here
To help me wipe the tears
Forever my dear

Can't you see that there's light in the dark.

damn.....nice work.....digging at myself today, that hit a chord with me.....
believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

  • I really liked this one too, coach. :) The line about the feet dissolving behind-- it was great!

very good read, sad and longing...
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
