Sleep builds thick
Upon a dewy night
You can fight it off
Still clutters your sight

Octaves that control
Water that eliminates
Sometimes you dream
Pearly Gates

The crowd gathers around
To see the spectacle at hand
Each holding their shovel
Ready with sand

One falls
While another climbs
Some are worth fortunes
Others merely a dime

I’ve got a story for you
A lost rendition really
A vision of alone
Temporarily
Adolescence in essence is all about trust.
Leaving is for the answering machine.

I liked these lines a lot!
    really good, made me think..
"Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."

I believe we are all worth the same amount, none more, none less. I like your poem though. It's well written and insightful.
