We all knew

Here I am
On this sleepless eve
With no one to hold
Nowhere to grieve
It came to an end
Many years ago today
The road was long
Too painful some say

This weapon at side
Calling out my name
We all knew this moment
Would be fair game

We all knew…

You were not strong
You were far too heavy
Down the long hall
You skipped by sanity
My welfare
Your only concern
Too be held
Was all I yearned

This weapon at side
Calling out my name
We all knew this moment
Would be fair game

We all knew…

My veins would pump
New life inside
To this evil
I did confide
It saw me through
Like an only brother
Only to find out
That it would smother

This weapon at side
Calling out my name
We all knew this moment
Would be fair game

We all knew…

Comments would be greatly appreciated on this one. I really struggled to convey my emotions. I really wanted to emphasize the past while still showing I had a decision to make in the present. Not sure if that makes any sense. :( Not happy with this one...

hmm. I really don't know yet what to make of this. my mind is still processing it.
I can tell there's something for me to find in it. :)

I'll get back to you when I figure it out. :)

    um.... chris.
this one hit me in a place i don't like to be touched.
it sounds perverse to me to say i like this one, cause it makes me ache.
and i guess that's what makes it a good one. :(
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

Very sad...what I got out of it was putting your "love", "trust" in the wrong thing...something that brought you down and further away from what you actually needed - love and acceptance, just as we all need whether we bury and deny it or not. I could be wrong, that is what I got. I hope that if you are making a tough decision, it brings you much peace and love. :)
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,

Thanks for the nice post Twin1. It's a cross of a decision I've had to make and a decision a loved one made in the past. He chose heroin and suicide while I chose the other direction. Sad...miss him dearly....:(

Of course you miss him but he is right with you. Like that song Angel..I'm right in front of you, I am by your side.....I am sorry for your loss. I am glad that you are here to share your feelings.

Always wished I could play something or have someone put things I've written to music for me....been thinking about buying a guitar and maybe taking lessons or something. Can you send me a link to the thread you're talking about?

    Thanks as well momofglynn :)
