House of The Hit and Run
**********************

Myst,
as a glacial hand stretched over the land,
you and me,
and the company of the setting sun,
we stare at each other,
in silence,
I carve a sign in the sand,
you acquiesce,
here is nowhere,
here is the house of the hit and run.

It feels like we've been stolen,
from our precious certainties,
we mourn this as if we were orphans,
Dogmas reduced to ashes,
Concepts turned to dust.

Hear,
there's an uncanny melody,
it travels the wind with unsee wings,
trespass our souls,
and leaves a sauer taste in our lips,
a longing for a more vivid existence,
we're ressurrected by it,
when the bell finaly tolls in the distance,
it's off to embrace the dawn,
rather than a place in the line to weep.

A dream,
a secret hope,
and a hallway,

drawnings of a new landscape,

and a new begin.

This one is very refreshing. New beginnings...nothing like it.
  • Thanks for your comment. Wandering through the wasteland to find redemption at the end of the journey is a dark-haired, dark veiled muse that flies around from time to time, and she does get along with the sunrise, despite of general belief ;)

This is genuinely poetic and lovely. Best poem I've seen here in ages, and that's not to belittle other people's good work. There are a couple of little grammatical glitches - probably the result of this being a poem written in a second or third language - that might be proof-read and tweaked, but they're negligible really.

    Thank you. Please share more.
  • Thanks. Pardon me for the grammar glitches, english is my second language indeed.

There are some really beautiful poems here.

The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
