Once upon a star...

I gaze up at the sky each night
and find the brightest star.
It's always waiting there for me
so close, but yet so far.
The star winks in the evening sky
and reaches out to me.
It magically appears each night
for all the world to see.
I've wished upon this special star
my whole life through, it seems.
I've closed my eyes and made my wish
of hopes, and plans, and dreams.
And then, one day I got my wish
for I finally met you.
You are that someone special
who's made all my dreams come true.
So now whenever we're apart
I find that same bright star.
It makes me feel so close to you
no matter where you are.

After a re-read, I'm left thinking that starry nights are so full of beauty and promise...I love getting away up north and lying on the grass or the beach at night, smiling up to the heavens--just GORGEOUS!!!

Wow does that sound like a well deserved rest for me!!! Oh BE---Calgon take me away ;O I can look at the stars in the sky and gaze into the moonlight for hours,... maybe one day we'll be side by side enjoying the breath taking beauty 2-gether... I'll bring the wine!

I KNOW! The night sky is such perfect, natural beauty, it's so easy to just lose track of the ground...:) I'll bring the corkscrew! (and maybe an extra bottle a vino, just in case )

Not only will we set up a tentative date but we'll set up a tent --one a them real nice jobbers, with the skylight so no shooting star or moonbeam passes by without notice! There's some real pretty places to bask in the moonlight up here in Canadaland! Now, assuming you're a sweetie from south of the border---feel like heading northwards in early or late summer?
