As a bird I'd fly on the horizon
but I've forgotten how to use my wings
As a marionette I dance for you
whenever you pull my strings
As a GTO I'd blaze off into the sunset
But I'm running dry on fuel
As a mirror I'd catch your reflection
whenever your eyes turned cruel
As an officer I'd believe in justice
But I've seen way too much to ever trust it
As a song I'd seep into your soul
whenever you needed serenity inside that empty hole
As a lady I'd be the embodiment of grace
but I've allowed bitter sorrow to take it's place
As your priest your secrets I'll keep
so many confessions that run deep
As a child I'd possess the mystery of youth
but age is creeping up bringing home the truth
As your conscience I couldn't be more non-existant
whenever your demons appear in need of resistance
As it is you're a tragedy waiting to be revealed
the irony lies in the way you keep it concealed
As your loose end or witness I hide
whenever your vengenace resurfaces from inside..
As I am...
Is certainly no way to be.

This one is mysterious but what I got out of it was someone with a very dark side and you, the supportive one. In some ways you lost the true you. I could be wrong. I know someone who has lived through that. I love the writing though. You really have a way with words.
