Innocence Lost

Thought I found a rainbow
It was just a trick of light
Thought the moon was following overhead
An illusion of the night
Never stepped on cracks
Gave way to black cats
Pocketed pennies on the ground
Wished on stars fallin' down,...

Now here I am lost in between
Things I can hold onto
And things I've never seen
Grasping onto innocence
Fighting off the truth
Don't want to lose the magic
The mystery of youth

Thought the heavens cried for me as the rain poured down
Thought the sun was asleep when the darkness would surround
Believed in angels
Believed in justice
Believed in love
Thought I could trust it

Now here I am lost in between
Things I can hold onto
And things I've never seen
Grasping onto innocence
Fighting off the truth
Don't want to lose the magic
The mystery of youth

No I don't wanna lose the magic,..
I won't lose it over you.
Put me in coach...I'm ready to
Fuck up...the USA...
Look at me...I can rig...
The presidency!!!!

    That was really pretty! I have felt that way quite a bit. Once innocence is gone it can't come back and you wish it would. However, good, hope, love, and faith don't ever have to die...if you believe.

    No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
    After you die...you know how to LIVE!
