Take it from within a cell
From the smallest part of me
Pull it slowly from the angry part
The brutal part you can't see.
Drag it along... bone...
On up tearing through my flesh
Tearing through me heart
Let it sit
Breathe upon the world
Let it sleep upon your chest
Let it know this sweet little grrl.

Take it from my innards
Show it the light of day
Fool it into loving you
And as always,..
Take it away
Take it away
Throw it away,..

Where has the graceful beauty of timelessness gone???
Where has the sofest inside of this shell gone???
Perhaps a sculpture of rarity...
Slinking through the fabric of time....
You'll keep the hollow space in me...
You'll continue to cross the line.

Take it from my innards
Show it the light of day
Fool it into loving you
And as always,..
Take it away
Take it away
Throw it away,..
Put me in coach...I'm ready to
Fuck up...the USA...
Look at me...I can rig...
The presidency!!!!

  • This is sad, trinityeliza. :( I really enjoyed this part that you repeated:

    "Take it from my innards
Show it the light of day
    Fool it into loving you
    And as always,..
    Take it away
    Take it away
    Throw it away,.."

*sigh* We can so easily be fooled sometimes, can't we?

I like how this poem tears you apart.
Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen
