In a kitchen
Sits a hopeless soul.
Rubber band, syringe,
Needle.
Tools of the trade.
Addiction in hand,
Crystal clear turns to red;
Fucking himself,
Till dead.
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

    having a husband who's an addict (not same d.o.c.) i relate to the feeling in this one.
    "I'm not present, I'm a drug that makes you dream"
  • I am sorry to here that your husband is an addict. It can be a real hell for all those involved. I have been clean now for sevebteen years, there is hope.
