The sextant

Sailing with no direction.
A mind with no wind.
Blissful peace sets in.
A light-house reviled.
Cutting through the fog of reason.
Two ships in the dark-
Loving without reason.
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

    just curious. did you mean to use the word 'reviled'? or is it a typo?

    Yes, it is suppose to be reviled. I was attempting to show that when two people are in love, they need to sometimes fiercely attack intelligent reason.
    Love is on an emotional level.
    Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
    Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

    I'm glad you explained that because I was also wondering about that word choice. :)

    I considered perhaps you meant "revealed" but that didn't seem quite right either.
