The worries of this world creep in. . . .
Will my family be safe . . .?
Can my daughter taste love. . .
My son’s draft number will be A1.
The lights go down. . .
And Eddie comes out. . .
The band is like a drug. . .
A sleeping pill, so to speak. . .
I drift off. . .
Waking in a world of peace. . .
Everything is alright. . .
I am full of love. . .
The boss shouts. . .
“Get back to work.”
It’s been three days. . .
Since the concert lights went out. . .
Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.

    Hi,
    This poem is only the third one I have EVER wrote.
    I have been taking a scratch-pad to work and writing things down.
    Then, I come home and try to put it together and make something from the heart. It is fun and passes the time.
    Can't you see that there's light in the dark.
    Nothing's quite what it seems in the city of dreams.
